Munira Elizabeth A. Reed, Ph.D. founded and directs the nonprofit Shalem Center upon the belief that "Unity is at the heart of all spiritual seeking and expressions".
This belief defines her life work for over 45 years, as a mainstream minister, a psychotherapist, and a spiritual guide and teacher.
"Each person is of infinite worth and has gifts to offer through their lives" is another foundational belief. Compassionate and caring communication/connection is a means to bring forth these gifts, for the flourishing of all. Munira embodies these qualities and evokes them in others.
"Peace within and without" is the ultimate goal. The inner reflects the outer. Outer reflects inner. We work at all levels.

She is a life long spiritual seeker, ritual weaver, teacher, therapist, consultant, wife, godmother, lover of the Great Mother in all her expressions, travel and cross cultural experiences, the woods, the ocean and life on this earth.
The Dances of Universal Peace, universalist Sufi practices, first century Aramaic world view (the language of Yeshua) and expressions of the Great Mother are the heart of what she shares in the world.
